Key Accountabilities
Day to Day Support:
- Partner with the business to analyze business requirements and provide the necessary information for new business processes.
- Recommend changes for improvement with an emphasis on automation and efficiencies.
- Generate models to depict business processes and information flows utilizing modeling tools such as Casewise.
Business Support:
- Work with elements in the Shared Services Center in support of the implementation of business process changes.
- Translate Business requirements into technical documentation to be used by ITS resources.
- Provide functional/technical expertise and produce specifications for any gaps in the application interfaces and data conversions.
- Ability to make appropriate configuration changes to JDE System.
Project Requirements:
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of project deliverables such as business requirements document utilizing design tools such as IBM’s ReqPro and Use Case Modeling
- Research and document business needs.
Skills
- Three to five years skills in JD Edwards financial modules, including functional, technical and system configuration. Previous skills in defining and developing business solutions through the assigned functional area required. Prior skills with a multi-subsidiary environment and with integration and conversions of new operations from legacy systems to assigned application area is preferred.
- Ability to interview business/functional users and technical staff and apply application knowledge to business needs and document solutions.
Knowledge
- Knowledge of the JD Edwards application area (or other ERP system) and/or functional business process for the assigned support group (e.g. General Accounting, Accounts Payable).
- Understanding of application development tools, legacy systems integration, data conversion analysis, business rules definitions, workflow processing, and analytical reporting tools.
- Solid understanding of requirements mapping and analysis, business process reengineering, data structures and software limitations.
- Direct knowledge with Case Tools/process documentation (preferably Casewise and IBM Rational Suite)
- Understanding of appropriate system environment/platform and development tool, dependent on business solution implemented.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and productivity tools (e.g. word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, database, project planning, Lotus Notes)
- Understanding of the Information Technology solutions and processes.
