The of will be responsible for the identification of census opportunities across a portfolio of approximately 80 skilled nursing facilites, and capitalizing on these opportunities via coordinating the implementation of clinical programs and the of key physician relationships. The of will analyze market data to identify target patient populations residing in short-term acute care hospitals that are underserved by existing skilled nursing providers. They will then identify the clinical capabilities needed to serve such target patient populations (eg, pulmonary, cardio-pulmonary, orthopedic) and coordinate the implmentation of clinical staff training via close working relationship with facility and district clinical leadership. They will also identify key thought leader and high-referral physicians and work with the facility leadership to form relationships with these physicians (eg, Specialty Medical Directors, Advisory Boards, etc) and help facility develop patient outcomes tracking and reporting systems.

This position reports directly to the Senior Vice President of the Pacific Region with dotted line reporting to the Senior of at the corporate office. Monthly progress reports will be presented directly to the Executive Committee on a monthly basis.

Candidates should be possess the following attributes:

  • Strategic thinker and oriented;
  • At least 3 years of experience in healthcare (short-term acute care hospital experience preferred but not required);
  • Experience cultivating physician relationships;
  • An understanding of clinical processes (formal clinical training preferred but not required);
  • The ability to form working relationships with a wide variety of individuals ;
  • The ability to multi-task across numerous projects;
  • Strong presentation skills and the ability to both facilitate group dialogue at the facility level and also present results monthly to the Executive Team; and
  • Able travel 50-75 percent of the time.
